Kicking from a room and blocking an account

The host (or, in a room with the automatic host, the room owner) can kick you from one room, and the administration can block your account: then entry to the game is closed.

In short

  • A kick applies only in that room: you can't get back into it, but other rooms stay available.
  • An account block closes entry to the game entirely: until a certain date or indefinitely.
  • You'll learn about a block from the “Account blocked” window: it gives the reason and, if a term is set, the date it lasts until.
  • A block with a term ends by itself, there's nothing to lift.

Kicking from a room. This is decided by whoever runs the room: a live host, or in a room with the automatic host, its owner (the “⋮” menu on a player's window, “Kick from game”). An observer can be kicked too. The kicked person is removed from the table and won't get into this room again; other rooms and the account aren't affected. If a living player is kicked in the middle of a game, that game won't be rated for anyone.

Account block. This is a stricter measure: the administration imposes it when the terms of use are violated. The grounds can be violations of the rules from the article “What's not allowed: the rules of conduct”, a risk to the game or other users, and a legal requirement. You're signed out everywhere at once, you disappear from the table, and signing in — with a password or through Google — won't work while the block is in force.

How you'll find out. If the tab is open, an “Account blocked” window appears. It gives the reason and a line “The block lasts until …” with a date, or “The block has no end date”. After “Got it” you're taken to the sign-in page. An attempt to sign in will show a message about the block.

Term and lifting. A block can be until a certain date or indefinite. A timed one stops by itself when the date passes. An indefinite one, like lifting one early, is the administration's decision.
