What's not allowed: the rules of conduct

The terms of use forbid insulting and bullying players, showing inappropriate content, deceiving, breaking the game and playing unfairly. For violations, content can be removed and an account suspended or closed.

In short

  • The rules of conduct are the acceptable-use section of the terms of use, which you agree to when you sign up.
  • Not allowed: insulting, threatening and bullying; showing inappropriate things on camera, in avatars and in the chat; deceiving; spamming; breaking the game; cheating; collecting other people's personal data.
  • Lying within the game is not a violation.
  • Moderation is both automatic and manual: content can be removed and an account suspended or closed.
  • You can play from age 16.

What's not allowed. The terms of use name eight things. You may not:

  • insult, threaten, bully or mock other players;
  • share sexual content involving minors or any illegal content;
  • show nudity, sexual content, symbols of hatred, violence or other inappropriate things on camera, in an avatar or in the chat;
  • impersonate someone else, or deceive or defraud through the service;
  • spam, advertise, spread malware or links to dangerous sites;
  • try to hack, overload, scrape data from or reverse-engineer the service;
  • cheat: exploit game bugs, or use bots or automation for an advantage;
  • collect or share other people's personal data without consent.

Lying within the game is fine, though: that's what it runs on.

Camera, microphone, avatar, chat. When you turn on your camera or microphone, video and sound go to the other players in the room in real time. We don't record them, and you're responsible for what you broadcast. Uploaded avatars are first checked by automatic moderation. The chat text is stored: a “deleted” message is hidden from players but not erased. The game won't accept a nickname with offensive words.

Account and age. You can play from age 16. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, so don't give your password to others. If you suspect your account was hacked, write to support: support@mafiaonline.club. Your email needs to be confirmed to open full access to games.

What happens for violations. Moderation in Mafia is both automatic and manual. For violations, content can be removed and an account suspended or closed. In a room, the offender can also be kicked by the host, and in a room with the automatic host by the room owner. How a kick differs from an account block is explained in the article “Kicking from a room and blocking an account”.
