How to add the game to your phone's home screen

Add the game to your home screen: on iPhone via “Share” and “Add to Home Screen”, on Android via the browser menu (⋮). It'll open from the icon in its own window without an address bar.

What it gives you. An icon appears on your screen next to your other apps: you get in with one tap, and the game opens in its own window without an address bar, so there's more room for video. The game itself is the same as in the browser. On iPhone it's also the only way to remove the address bar (Safari has no fullscreen there). Also, notifications on iPhone and iPad only come to an app added to the home screen.

Where to add it from. Easiest from your profile: “Profile” → the “Settings” tab → the “App” section → “The game as its own app”. The button there is called “Install” (when the browser itself can show the install window, as happens in Chrome) or “How to install” (a window “The game on your home screen” opens with steps). There's no “App” section where adding the game isn't possible, and when the game is already open from the icon.

Similar buttons (“Add to home screen” or “How to add it”) are on the “The game, one tap away” banner on the main page (it appears on phones and tablets after your first finished game, and can be closed) and at the bottom of the victory screen. On iPhone there's a third route: the “Fullscreen” button in the game's bottom bar opens the same window with steps.

Steps, if the browser doesn't offer installation itself.

On iPhone or iPad:

1. Tap “Share” — the square with an arrow pointing up.
2. Scroll the list down and pick “Add to Home Screen”.
3. Tap “Add” — the icon appears on your screen.

On Android:

1. Open the browser menu (⋮).
2. Pick “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
3. Launch the game from the new icon — the browser bars will be gone.
