Immunity: protection at the start of the game

Immunity is protection for the player who was the first out last game in this room: at the start of the game they can't be killed at night or nominated for the vote.

In short

  • Immunity goes to the player who was the first out in the room's previous game (one played to the end) and is at the table again.
  • It protects from the mafia's night shot and from being nominated for the vote.
  • It works only at the start of the game: it expires at the start of night 2, so it covers day 1, night 1 and day 2.
  • Only one player can have immunity. An “Immunity” mark is on their window.
  • With the automatic host immunity is assigned by itself; with a live host the host decides.

What it's for. Whoever is out first barely gets to play. Immunity is compensation: at the start of the next game such a player can't be knocked out first.

Who gets it. Whoever was the first out in this room's previous game (killed at night or banished in the vote) and is at the table again. If that game was interrupted rather than played to the end, nobody gets immunity.

What it gives. While immunity is on:

  • the mafia can't shoot this player;
  • they can't be nominated for the vote.

The sign is the “Immunity” mark on the player's window.

When it expires. At the start of night 2. Until then it protects from the shot on night 1 and stops the player being nominated on day 1 and day 2. The acquaintance night (it happens when there are two or more mafiosi) doesn't use immunity up: nobody shoots in it.

Who grants it.

  • With the automatic host immunity is assigned by itself: at the start of the game an announcement says the player gets it for the previous game.
  • With a live host the host decides: he can grant or remove immunity in the player window menu. Everyone is shown a message when immunity is assigned.
