Game history: the match record

The game history is the record of a finished match: everyone's roles, nominations, votes, night actions and the outcome. Only participants of that game can open it.

In short

  • History appears when the match is finished: during the game, roles and night actions stay secret.
  • You can open it with the “Game history” button on the victory screen, the history icon in the bottom bar after the game, and from the “Recent games” list in your profile.
  • The record has: the dealing of the roles, every day and night, votes with names, night actions, the outcome.
  • Only participants of the match can see it: you can't open someone else's game.
  • It's a record of events, not conversations: there's no chat or speeches in it.

How to open it. There are three ways.

  • The victory screen: the “Game history” button.
  • The game's bottom bar: after the match ends, a history icon appears there.
  • Profile: the “Overview” tab, the “Recent games” block. Next to each game that has a record there's a “View game history” icon.

In another player's profile there's the same list, but only a game you took part in yourself will open.

What's inside. At the top — the winner, the number of days and the length of the match. Then “The deal”: who played which role. Then day by day and night by night, including the acquaintance night:

  • who nominated whom for the vote;
  • every vote and revote, with who voted against whom (votes the game cast by itself are marked with an asterisk — “Random vote”);
  • who was eliminated;
  • at night: whom the mafia shot, whom the don and the sheriff checked, whom the doctor healed (and whether the heal worked), whom the prostitute visited (and whether the doctor lifted her block);
  • a player being removed or brought back by the host's decision, a player leaving the game (“left the game”) and a kick (“was kicked from the game”).

At the end, “Finale”: who survived (with roles), who won, and the “Star of the game” if there was one.

Who can see it and when. There's no history during the game: it opens only after the match ends. Only participants of the match can see it: players, the host, and also ghosts and observers who were in the room at the moment it ended. To everyone else the game shows “Only players of this game can view its history”. For games that ended before the history appeared, there's no record: “History wasn't recorded for this game”.
