Likes and “Star of the game”
After a game you can thank a player from the winning team with a like. The winner with the most likes (at least three) becomes the “Star of the game”.
In short
- A like is given on the victory screen by tapping a player of the winning team; tapping again removes it.
- All participants of the match can like, including the losing team and a live host. Observers can't, and you can't like yourself.
- One like from you per player; how many players you like is up to you.
- “Star of the game” is the winner with the most likes, but at least three. The crown is alive: it can be taken over or lost.
- Likes show in your profile (“Likes received”, “Star of the game”) and they don't affect the rating.
How to give a like. When the game is over, the victory screen shows the “Winning team”. Tap the player whose game you liked: a golden thumb floats up above them with an exclamation, such as “Nice!” or “Bravo!”. Tapping again removes the like, so a slip of the finger is no problem. Each player can get one like from you, but how many players you like is up to you; you can like a dead winner too.
All participants of the match can like: winners, the losing team and a live host. Observers can't.
When you can. You can give a like while the victory screen is open: it closes by itself after a short time, but each like of yours postpones the closing. Once the screen has closed, likes can't be changed. You see only the number of likes, not who gave them. You can see your own counter on your own window, but you can't tap it; winners also get a “N likes for you” line in their personal row.
Star of the game. The crown goes to the winner with the most likes, but at least three. If the likes are equal, the one who got them earlier wins. The crown is alive: while the screen is open, it can be taken over, and if likes are removed and the leader is left with fewer than three, it disappears. On the star's window a crown with sparks and a golden frame appear, and the hint above the team turns into an announcement, “Star of the game — Dmytro · 5 likes” (the star themselves sees “You're the star of the game!”).
Where it stays. In your profile, on the “Overview” tab: “Likes received” — how many likes other players gave you, and “Star of the game” — in how many matches you were it. The numbers depend on the chosen period: “All time”, “30 days” or “Week”. The same is visible in the public profile, and in the game history summary there's a line about the star. Games as a host don't affect these numbers: a host doesn't get likes. Likes don't affect the rating, and there are no separate achievements for them yet.
