Your first game: what happens from start to finish

After the start everyone gets a secret role, then the game goes in rounds of “night — morning — speeches — voting” until only one team is left.

Start. With the automatic host, everyone presses “Ready to play”. When everyone is ready, a short countdown begins, and during it the game can still be cancelled. With a live host, the host starts the game with the “Start Game” button.

From there the game goes like this:

• Dealing the roles. You see your secret role, and the whole table is shown the game composition: how many of each role.
• The acquaintance night, but only if there are two or more mafiosi. Only the mafia wake up, to get to know each other. Nobody is killed.
• Day 1. Everyone speaks in turn: say who you are and listen to the others. Done early? Press “Thanks”. There's no free talk for everyone at once (“chaos time”) on the first day.
• Nominating. During your speech you can nominate one suspect. You can't nominate yourself, an eliminated player, the host or a player with immunity.
• Voting. When the speech round is over, all the living vote against one of the nominees. Whoever gets the most votes gives a last word and is out. Only one nominee: they're out without a vote. Nobody nominated: nobody is out today. Votes tied: the candidates speak once more and vote again; a second tie in a row: nobody is out.
• Night. The town falls asleep. The mafia, don, sheriff, prostitute and doctor (those of them that are in the game) wake in turn and make their move in secret.
• Morning. Everyone is shown the result of the night: someone died, or nobody. Then a new day: speeches, voting, night.

And so on, until one of the teams wins.
