How to vote

When voting opens, click the window of the candidate you're voting against. You have one vote, and it can't be changed.

In short

  • You vote against a candidate, not for them: whoever gets the most votes is out.
  • Click the candidate's window (or their row in the player list).
  • One vote: you can't vote against yourself, and you can't change your vote.
  • Time is short, and the room owner sets it. If you don't make it, you get a random vote.
  • Each candidate's vote count is visible; who voted against whom shows up only after your own vote.

Before the vote. With the automatic host there's a short discussion: the screen shows the candidates, who nominated whom, a countdown and the “Ready to vote” button. It ends when time is up or when all the living have pressed it. The same goes before a revote. With a live host, the host reads out the nominations himself.

How to cast your vote. When voting is open, click the candidate's window (or their row in the player list). A yellow frame is on the window of the one you chose. There isn't much time: the room owner sets it.

What you see in the player windows.

  • A vote counter on the candidate, even at zero.
  • The leader is filled with yellow; those who've caught up with them are outlined in yellow.
  • The bar under the window shows the share of votes against this player.
  • In the game header — “voted N / M”.
  • When voting is closed and someone got the most, their window shows “eliminated · N”, where N is the number of votes. In a tie there's no such tag.

The vote isn't secret. Everyone can see who voted against whom, but you see it only after your own vote. Then hover over a candidate's counter (on a phone, tap): a list of those who voted against them appears. A click pins the list, a second click removes it.

Voting ends when time runs out or everyone who had the right to vote has voted. Whoever didn't make it gets a random vote. Then comes the result: the chosen candidate is out (after a last word) or, if votes are tied, a tie follows.
