Presets: a room in one click

A preset is a saved set of room settings: you pick it in the “Create Game” window, and the room appears right away, without the form.

In short

  • A preset remembers languages, roles, rules and pacing, and for a private room, the password too.
  • The creation form itself offers to save a preset: the “Save as a preset” block appears when the settings differ from the defaults.
  • When you have a preset, “Create Game” starts with the list of presets; “Create” on a card opens the room at once.
  • “New game” opens the ordinary form with the default values, not from a preset.
  • You can have up to five presets; you can't edit or rename a preset: delete it and save a new one.

How to save. Three steps:

  1. In the creation form, set up the room the way you need it.
  2. As soon as the settings differ from the defaults, a “Save as a preset” block appears at the bottom. Turn on the switch and, if you like, give the preset a name; without that, one is filled in for you (“Preset 1”, “Preset 2” and so on).
  3. Press “Create”: the preset is saved together with the room.

The block won't appear if the same set is already saved. And when you have five presets, the form tells you to delete an old one first.

How to use. When you have at least one preset, “Create Game” opens with the list of presets. A card shows the name, a lock (if the room is private), the languages, the main features and the pacing. “Create” on a card creates the room at once and takes you into it. “New game” opens the ordinary form, and “Back” returns you to the list.

Deleting. A preset isn't editable. To change something, delete it (the trash icon on the card) and save a new one. A deleted preset is gone for good, and rooms already created from it aren't affected. Presets are tied to your account: they're there on all your devices, and nobody else can see them.
